How would you assess a patient with Dementia/Alzheimers Disease?
I'm a 4th year BSc Student and I have to present a talk on the impact of a hearing impairment on a person suffering from Dementia or Alzheimer's disease (AD). I've done some background reading on how this may impact on an assessment, but I was wondering if anyone had any first hand experience with a patient with Dementia/AD and how you adapted taking the history and carrying out a hearing test (if you had to). Books and Journals can only tell you so much! Any info would be greatly appreciated
