    Feedback reduction algorithms

A study by Todd Ricketts of Vanderbilt U. compared the Added Stable Gain of 6 'premier' hearing aids, concluding that the Siemens Pure 701 had a 7 dB advantage over its nearest competitor.
This is a very significant improvement. Has anyone had similar experience with this, or other Siemens aids? Note that these were open ear fittings.

From my personal experience I have felt that adults with mild and moderate hearing loss people are not candidates for hearing aids provided they have flat hearing loss... Inspite of the hearing aid trial done none of them appreciated even the costliest hearing aid.
