Auditory Verbal Therapy for Bilingual Children

    Hi

Do you know where I can find info on auditory verbal therapy for bilingual children? I mean, does auditory therapy require some specific techniques when working with bilinguals?

    thanks in advance

Why would it? Are you talking about 2 oral langiuages or sign as 2nd language? What 'specific techniques' would a family bringing up a hearing child bilingually use? Perhaps an AVT person will reply but i would think it better to focus on one language to work in at first.

I have a few interesting details on this topic.

Children achieve great success with bilingual education. Verbal communication and sign language. This has figured out a study. The children had hearing aids and cochlear implants

This describes François Grosjean of the University of Neuchatel (Switzerland) very well.

    Bilingual Erzeihung can be:
    Verbal (English) and sign language
Sign Language is recognized as a foreign language now.

    Bilingual education can be:
Father and mother did not speak the same language.
Father speaks English and the mother speaks Spanish.
The child also needs sign language.

This is then a trilingual education.

However, my question back to you, what direction of bilingual education did you mean now?

    My tip for you is:

    - Inform yourself on truly local Interpreting key
    - Integration Offices
    - Hearing Schools

Here in Germany the correspondents are probably a little different, as in Denmark.

You have posted a large number of times recently on lots of topics and I for one find your posts almost impossible to follow (eg this one). I understand that English is not your native tongue but it would help if you could be more clear and concise to get the gist of what you are trying to say over better.
    Thanks
