NHS Hearing aid instruction leaflets.
What do most people provide for their NHS hearing aid instruction leaflets?
Do you use those provided by the manufacturer or create a local version?
Reason for asking - Many of the NHS Hearing aid instruction leaflets are quite small and don't meet many good practice guidelines for printed information, e.g. RNIB clear print guidelines.

I know that the Oticon instruction booklets can be downloaded from their website as a PDF and printed out onto A4, which I have done in the past for partially sighted patients in the past.
Doing it this way is also useful as you can pick and choose which pages you print so you are only giving them the basic information and cutting out anything that could cause confusion (and saves going through and crossing out half of the pages in the book!)
I'm not sure if other manufacturers have the pdf files on their websites but I'm sure if you contacted your rep. they would be able to email something to you.

Our department has generated our own version based on an amalgamation of the old NHS/RNID leaflets and manufacturers. We can then pick and choose the relevant info for the patient and also include site specific info such as repair clinics etc.
I can forward you a copy of ours for comparison, if you like (contact details in profile).
