Question Professional regulatory bodies for Audiology in the UK

    Hello:

Can anyone tell me, who are the regulatory bodies for Audiology in the UK? Which regulatory body do I need to register with when I have finished my degree?

    Thanks.

As far as I know, If you're graduating with a BSc in Audiology then you register with the RCCP, but if you graduate with a masters in Audiology then you register under the HPC as an Audiological Scientist. I'm not 100 percent on this as I'm a 4th year Audiology student myself but I'm pretty sure that's the case at the moment. (although it would just make sense if BSc Audiologists and MSc Audiologists registered under the same body!). I know for MSc students, registering with HPC is complusary but RCCP is voluntary body so I'm not sure if it's compulsory to register. Hope it's a bit of insight for you even though I'm a bit clueless myself!

Just to clarify, I asked a lecturer today and as Bsc Audiologists we will have to register with RCCP, it's compulsory.
