Tumarkins Crisis & BPPV
Tumarkin crisis is usually conected with Meniere, but what's connection with BPPV?
When performing an Eply maneouver:
1. how often do you have the complication of horisontal chanal BPPV?
2. in which position of the maneouvre it happens
3. do you treat it? and how?
in my experience it usually happens when changing position from III to IV.
But how would you interpret the strong vertigo which begins when you finished the procedure?
Dr Koch named it Tumarkin crisis. Please see this video.

Horizontal cana BPPV after repositioning of BPPV posterior scc
Dear ,
BPPV lateral canal if will occur during Epley;s maneuver ..by logic it occurs during position 3 (face down ) as this position makes lateral canal in a dependent position .
In my practice I usually observe it in the follow up visit after few days of CRM in less than 5 percent of my patients
Treatment by treating post SCC BPPV first then forced prolonged positioning for 8 hours towards health side
If not responding log Roll maneuver
Thanks
