Vestibular Rehabilitation outcome measures
There is much documented evidence to suggest that vestibular rehabilitation is very effective for patients with vestibular balance disorders.
Out of interest, in terms of outcome measures, what do most people use at the moment?
Ideally I would say a combination of posturography and questionnaires such as DHI, VSS or VRBQ. In practice, this is not always possible as many centres do not have access to posturography equipment.
We have been using the VRBQ (Vestibular Rehabilitation Benefit Questionnaire) for a while now and collating results on a spreadsheet with the hope of a future audit soon.
Any thoughts?

Hello there
I am lucky to do vestibular rehabilitation regularly within my clinic. I am also getting involed with the establishment of national protocols and this is an increasingly important area for all in UK audiology. Not only do we have to record the patients we see but be able to audit the quality of the service we provide. At the moment I use DHI with my patients however I need to consider if there may be another more beneficial method of collating outcome measures. Any thoughts?
