What is the general management plan for patients with MD in the UK?
Is there any evidence around the management plans, or is it based around local policies?
Thank You.
As far as I am aware it is mainly based on local policy and the preferred treatment of the consultant. Most cases I am aware of are generally treated with dietary restrictions to begin with before medical interventions (drugs/gentomycin injections) are considered. I think this is because it's still a very grey area as far as true diagnosis is concerned.

Like you I am waiting for more posts - particularly for evidence on the effect on MD of salt, fluids, caffeine, wine, chocolate etc. I suspect the latter few are red herrings and may have their origins in the inability of clinicians to distinguish MD from vestibular migraine. Having said that, I believe a recent systematic review on migraine dismissed the usual suspects as not significant.
