overshoot dysmetria on saccades
'Abnormal' saccades seem to be such a rare finding, but I did indeed have such a result this week.
This was a lady who had persistent/unchanging unilateral (right) overshoot dysmetria on saccades. Left saccades were accurate.
The only other significant finding was persistent nystagmus on neck extension -pt is known to have cervical spondylosis & osteoarthritis in neck and back. Calorics were not performed due to middle ear status.
Good old Timothy Hain has useful information on his website about overshoot, but not unilateral. Could this be a ?cerebellar sign?, ?vascular insufficiency? due to neck problems.
Advice please?
Thanks
